Experiences in Ranthambore

The park is the reason most guests come, but it is not the only thing to do here. Six ways to spend the hours between drives, from the fort above the lake to the villages around Sawai Madhopur. The front desk books all of them.

Jungle Safari

Every safari zone of Ranthambhore National Park is connected from here, by gypsy or by canter. The hotel books the permit and the vehicle.

Ranthambore Fort

The fort stands inside the park itself, above the lakes. Go early, before the heat and before the day’s coaches come up from Sawai Madhopur.

Chambal Gharial Sanctuary

A river sanctuary for the gharial, the narrow-snouted crocodile that survives in very few places. A half-day out from the hotel.

Bird Watching

Over 300 species have been recorded around the park and its lakes. Best in the cool hours, and best between October and March.

Village Tour

The villages around Sawai Madhopur at an unhurried pace, with the Womencraft workshop and the Rajiv Gandhi Regional Museum of Natural History close by.

Evening Cultural Programme

Music and dance in the garden beside the pool once the sun is down, with the Pool Bar open alongside it. No need to leave the hotel.
